Don Don Donki City Square opens 11 January
The Japanese discount chain is at outlet no. 3 of the 10 stores the group plans to open in the country by 2020.
Don Don Donki City Square is opening its doors to the public on Friday, 11 January.
The Japanese discount chain continues to expand in the city-state, with the opening of its third and largest outlet on Kitchener Road.
Fans of Don Don Donki will see new features at the 26,000 sq ft outlet which boasts the largest perishables and delicatessen section among all its outlets in the country. It will also feature a food court and a bargain section.
“Every Don Don Donki outlet has a distinct store format and offering that is designed to cater to the unique retail behaviour of customers in its location,” said Hideki Okada, Director, Pan Pacific International Holdings. “The expanded food offering in the City Square Mall outlet will cater to the high traffic of families who frequent the mall for shopping and dining options.”
New Features at Don Don Donki City Square
Customers can enjoy a wider selection of Japanese cuisine, including side dishes like Japanese croquette, Omu-soba and the chain’s signature sweet potato.
Five different stores will also be available at the food court. These include Hokkaido Ramen Santouka and Naganuma Ice no-ie. which serves ramen and Hokkaido ice cream respectively. Customers will also be able to hunt for treasure bargains starting from $2.
Goods up for grabs
The first 1000 customers to spend a minimum of S$50 will receive a limited edition Don Don Donki tote bag. Meanwhile, Donpen plushies, eco bags and more are up for grabs on the Spin-To-Win game. This offer is exclusive for Don Don Donki mobile app members.
Don Don Donki City Square opens on 11 January 2019 from 10 am to midnight. Store hours from 12 January 2019 are from 9 am to midnight, Monday to Sunday.
