If noisy parties are not your thing, another great place for a nice quiet dinner is at the National Gallery’s in-house restaurant called Aura. Their ala carte menu will run from 6 – 8 pm, but from 8:30 pm onwards, you will be served an impressive 5-course meal at $208. But the good news is all dinner guests automatically get free entry to the Sky Lounge for the fireworks later. Because if you only want to reserve tables there to do the countdown, a table of four would cost you $600 with your choice of champagne or spirits.
