Not every Eggnog must contain alcohol! In fact, it actually tastes pretty great on its own! So if you're worried about guests who can't drink, just serve them a virgin one. It is made the exact same way just skip adding in whiskey or rum.
How about a cheery red drink for your guests? Just mix together some chilled apple cider, cranberry juice, ginger ale and orange juice concentrate. Then garnish with some mint and serve it with ice to bring on the Christmas colours. Even your younger guests can enjoy some!
Just replace real champagne with some sparkling apple juice or grape juice. Serve them cold in champagne flutes garnished with a frozen raspberry and it would look like the real deal. Feel free to pour some for the kids as well! Just remember to give them plastic champagne flutes. And to jazz things up for them, garnish theirs with some colourful rock candy instead!
Today this mocktail is no longer made with orange juice. Instead, it is mostly just ginger ale mixed with a little bit of grenadine in an 8:1 ratio. To add that citrusy taste that we all know comes with this drink, drop in a slice of orange as garnish. Alternatively, you can also garnish with cherries or pomegranates.
If you have time on you, why not try to make this G&T inspired mocktail using juice infusions. You will need grapefruits, lemons, oranges, juniper berries, cardamom pod and rosemary. Steep it in the fridge for a couple of days until the bitterness is released from the skins and that classic gin taste from the juniper berries. Then just mix it with some sparkling water and serve with some ice. What a great way to experiment making your own non alcoholic Christmas drinks! You'll get bragging rights.
How about some spiced apple cider instead? Again you will need to steep some cloves, cardamom, star anise, cinnamon sticks and some fresh ginger. Pour some apple cider into a pot and bring it to a boil before taking it off the heat to continue steeping for about 1 hour. Strain and serve warm or pour it over ice.
A cup of hot chocolate can certainly be enjoyed by guests of all ages, young or old. A drink that will certainly warm the soul, it is usually spiked with some form of coffee liquor. But to make them into non alcoholic Christmas drinks, just skip the alcohol. We promise it would be just as decadent.
Or how about serving some pomegranate mojito mocktail? All you need to do is to crush some mint leaves with lime and some simple syrup. Then top everything with the pomegranate juice, lemonade and carbonated water before garnishing mint leaves and pomegranate seeds.
Mix apple cider and some OJ − it is that simple! To ensure that your guests get the full experience, don't forget to sugar coat the rim of your serving glass.
