From food prep to cooking to serving and eating, utensils are used every step of the way. Just imagine a life without utensils! We would be stirring a pot of hot soup with our bare hands. Forget slicing through meat and bones, it would be impossible.

Unless you have crazy knife skills, a Y peeler is a must have in your kitchen. Peel fruits, shredding root veggies thinly, chocolate shavings, you name it. Let's face it, we definitely cannot live without this one.

This is a great tool to have at home even if it may not be a common thing for most Asian families.
